A proposal now going through parliament could see an expansion in English -language high school provision by 2026 in some cities.
Education Minister Anders Adlercreutz ( SPP ) said he wants to take that step.
If his legislation is approved by parliament, high schools would be in a position to begin offering a curriculum in English by the autumn of 2026 , and the first -ever matriculation exam in English would be available two years later .
