Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced pensions will become subject to inheritance tax.
The move reverses the decision by George Osborne in 2015 to exempt pension pots from being considered part of an estate for inheritance tax purposes.
Currently, private pensions are not considered to be part of your estate, and are free from tax.
But from April 2027 , that will all change.
