Stars of Wicked on Broadway gathered for a screening of Jon M. Chu’s upcoming big-screen adaptation of the musical.

Idina Menzel , who won the Tony for leading actress in a musical for creating the role of Elphaba , was unable to attend the screening.

Executive producer paid tribute to Gavin Creel , who played Boq in the first ever readings of Wicked and died on September 30th of a rare form of cancer.
