In 2021 , California ’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment released a report that would push the state to ban Blue 1 , Blue 2 , Green 3 , Red 40, Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 in public schools.

Some animals exposed to synthetic dyes can become hyperactive or exhibit signs of memory loss.
