Allie Redhorse Young hosted the first Ride to the Polls event ahead of the 2020 election.
It blended interests like skateboarding, cowboy culture, and heavy metal music with modern activism to register voters and bridge the gaps to access voting and get Indigenous youth to the polls.
Currently, the Navajo Election Office reports 133,872 Navajos are registered.
Navajo Nation member hopes to achieve a greater turnout in 2024 .
Her message to young Indigenous voters is that they are making their ancestors proud.
"We must participate in the system because it is one way that we can rebuild our power as a community and ensure a better, brighter community for our young generations," she says.
