•Restaurateur issues grovelling apology over swastika charge

Alan Yazbek , owner of Nomad restaurants and Reine & La Rue , was charged with knowingly displaying a Nazi symbol in public after officers allegedly caught him carrying the sign at a pro-Palestine protest in Sydney on Sunday .
He was one of some 10,000 demonstrators who took to the streets of the CBD one day before the anniversary of last year's October 7 attacks.
Alongside the large swastika, the sign Yazbek is accused of carrying had the words 'Stop Nazi Israel' Many guests have pulled out of his restaurants.
He has now 'apologised unequivocally' for his actions.
