It is beyond comprehension why the law and order and justice system in Canada and the U.S. are failing to check the rapid increase in violent crime in our towns and cities.

The catch-and-release philosophy practised by judges across North America is not working.

I believe shootings would be significantly reduced if the sentence on conviction began with 10 years of incarceration for the carrying of an illegal gun.
