David McConkey , 72 , left the UK in May to spend his retirement years in Bangkok .
He was a buyer in the electronics industry for more than 40 years in the UK .
He will now become one of the estimated 500,000 British expats receiving what is known as a frozen pension.
This is compared with state pensioners living in UK who see their pension increased each year by the triple lock policy.
Mr Lindsay-Watson said he wasn’t aware that his UK state pension would be frozen when he left, adding: “I had never really thought about it, but that extra cash that other pensioners living in the UK are getting next year would make a massive difference. “I really don’t think this is fair. Its government help we need, and we need it as soon as possible.”.
