Dean Obeidallah: Donald Trump said he tried to "save" the Affordable Care Act when he was president.

He says he followed through on his promise to repeal the law with GOP efforts to repeal it.

He said the only bipartisan action during the repeal debate was when GOP senators sided with Democrats to stop it from passing.

But Trump spent the rest of his presidency looking for ways to undermine or destroy the law.

There are signs Republicans are still interested in repealing the Affordable Care Act .

Republicans lost control of the House in 2018 and then gave up the Senate and White House in 2020 .
