Sen. Benjamin L. Cardin received an email from a fake Ukrainian official posing as Dmytro Kuleba asking him to meet on Zoom.
The person on the other end of the call reportedly asked Cardin “politically charged questions in relation to the upcoming election,” according to a Senate security email obtained by the New York Times .
It's still unclear who was behind the call.
