Tampere Tramway and rail vehicle manufacturer Skoda Transtech have signed an agreement for additional modules to expand the capacity of 11 trams.
The extension modules will increase the number of passengers a single tram car carries by more than 30 percent .
The increased passenger capacity will allow the trams to operate on the entire line at an optimal 7.5-minute interval.
