Mysterious 'alien song' was first recorded in 2014 by underwater gliders in the Mariana Trench .

Lasting between 2.5 and 3.5 seconds , the five -part sounds were dubbed 'biotwangs' Scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration ( NOAA ) have reanalysed the sounds.
