•Allan Lichtman: Pollster who picked nearly every winner calls US election
67% Informative
Allan Lichtman has correctly predicted nine of the past ten US presidential elections.
He rejects opinion polls and instead uses 13 indicators honed from analysing American elections dating back 120 years .
He has a near-perfect success rate since then, having only failed to forecast George W Bush’s narrow victory in 2000 .
Lichtman says Trump doesn't fit the definition of 'charisma' and appeals to a narrow base.
He says to beat the charisma key is to be one of those once in a generational, inspirational, broadly appealing, transformational candidates and very few candidates fit that.
Trump, who wrote in 2016 to congratulate him on his correct forecast, will want him to be off the mark again.
