VW has issued a recall for almost 100,000 ID.4s, suspending production of the popular electric vehicle.
The problem is a problem with the electric vehicle's flush-set door handles, which VW says don't meet its waterproofing specs.
As a result, VW says it knows of 293 warranty claims.
The recall applies to 99,064 vehicles made in the United States .
