Jake Sullivan is on trial in the ACT Supreme Court for the alleged rape of a female cadet at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADF) in Canberra .
The 24-year-old has pleaded not guilty to six charges, including four counts of sexual intercourse without consent.
The alleged victim, whose identity is protected by law, took to the stand this week .
She told police the encounter between herself and the accused began as consensual and that she had been the one to "initiate" sex once they got into her room.
But she said it changed after about 10 minutes and that he was being rougher than he had been during their previous sexual encounters.
Defence barrister Jack Pappas told the jury the complainant had been "besotted" with Mr Sullivan .
He said they had previously had sex many times, but that was not reciprocated.
She told police she felt that Mr Sullivan had taken her "spark" away from her and made her "uncomfortable" when it came to activities like drinking, going out and having sex.
She said she felt "alone" and "vulnerable" after the alleged incident and was looking for support.
