A remote-controlled submersible has found strange structures up to 1,300 feet ( 400 metres ) long beneath the Dotson Ice Shelf in Antarctica .
The structures were created by a remotely-operated vehicle 10 miles ( 17 kilometres ) below the ice shelf.
Scientists believe the structures are created as water moves across the glacier’s underside.
