Dominique Pélicot , 71 , has admitted drugging his wife and inviting up to 90 men to rape her.

The hearing was adjourned last week after he was diagnosed with a urine infection and prostate problems.

He was examined on Monday by two court-appointed medical experts.

His lawyer says he will be present with special adaptations to ensure the hearings are not too long.

“I arrived to see her in the queue literally sandwiched in between them. It was unbelievable that she should be there. I pulled her out and said we would skip the line,” he said. “She has had to find the strength in herself to cope I can tell you that she is even more of an incredible woman than she appears.”.
