Joseph Awuah-Darko's first UK solo exhibition, How’s Your Day Going? is at the Josef Albers and Anni Albers Foundation in Brussels .

The 28-year-old uses colour diaries to track his moods and energy levels.

The artist has also created a series of abstract oil paintings - portraits of his days.

He was born in London to Ghanaian parents, but he grew up in Ghana .

Joseph Awuah-Darko comes from an influential family of financiers and chiefs in the south-central Ashanti region of Ghana .

His ancestral home is very close to Bonwire, the birthplace of the world-famous kente fabric.

The artist grew up wearing the multi-coloured cloth and learned how to weave it using a hand loom.
