The images show a glowing spherical craft with yellow 'landing lights' Skeptics on social media have alleged that the photos are 'sky lanterns' held aloft by hot air from candles to outright doctored images.
But, in a March 2022 post, the researcher boasted that his candid snaps were 'the only selfie with a flying saucer'.
UFO researcher Meireles has been uploading photos of the alleged UFO to his Facebook account every few months .
Other UFO researchers have had trouble with this explanation.
Others, however, found the case credible and believed they had seen the same UFO themselves.
DailyMail.com also reached out to noted UFO skeptic and computer programmer Mick West of Sacramento , California , who weighed-in saying: 'They look photoshopped to me, but could be practical effects'.
