Alex Salmond claims David Cameron phoned up world leaders in dying days of IndyRef campaign.
Former first minister said he phoned Barack Obama , Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin for help.
Salmond led the Yes campaign a decade ago and won the historic vote in September 2014 .
The Yes campaign was defeated by 55 per cent to 45 per cent on September 18, 2014 .
He spoke to the Daily Record ahead of a Yes rally in Glasgow on Saturday to mark the anniversary.
Salmond said he has no doubt’ Scotland will be independent in ten years .
But he suggested his successors, like Nicola Sturgeon , squandered opportunities to advance the cause.
Alba Party chief said: “If you lose the reputation for competence, as unfortunately the SNP has done, then it’s more difficult to persuade people they have to get some adults back in the Scottish Parliament .”.
