A citizens' initiative banning so-called "conversion therapy" is languishing in the Finnish Parliament's Legal Affairs Committee .
Committee chair Juho Eerola ( Finns ) told Yle that discussion of the issue had been suspended because of two anonymous press leaks about the committee's handling of the matter.
Most opposition MPs on the 17 -member committee support the bill, which would instruct the Justice Ministry to start preparing a law.
