The EU has imposed provisional countervailing duties on imported Chinese electric cars.
The individual duties will apply to the following producers of Chinese cars: - BYD: 17.4% - Geely: 19.9% - SAIC: 37.6% Other EV producers in China that cooperated with the investigation but were not sampled are subject to a 20.8% weighted average duty.
These provisional duties will come into force on 5 July 2024 for a maximum duration of four months .
