•Biden-Harris admin needs 'more aggressive' plan to take on Iran-backed Houthis, experts warn
74% Informative
Military commanders have publicly dissented from the Pentagon over the U.S. military's response to the Houthis ' threat in the Red Sea .
The Houthis launched attacks against shipping vessels after Israel ’s invasion of the Gaza Strip , which was a response to Hamas attack Oct. 7 .
The group most recently hit a Greek -flagged oil tanker, leaving it "not under command" and drifting ablaze.
The Pentagon told Fox News Digital it had nothing additional to provide in response.
"We all know Iranian -backed groups like the Houthis , where that threat's emanating from," Miguez said.
"It'll be up to our National Command Authority to probably be more aggressive with our strike groups and all of our assets, not just the Navy " The U.S. Navy did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment by time of publication.
