An apparent record-breaking ancient astronomy "observatory" was uncovered recently during a temple dig in Egypt .

The mud-brick temple building was found in a larger complex known now as the Temple of Buto .

The observatory is part of a larger dig in modern-day Tell el-Faraeen , roughly 50 miles east of Alexandria .

Elizabeth is also a post-secondary instructor in communications and science at several institutions since 2015 ; her experience includes developing and teaching an astronomy course at Canada 's Algonquin College (with Indigenous content as well) to more than 1,000 students since 2020 .
