Colorado Republicans continue to grapple with a bitter intraparty schism with no immediate end in sight.
At a meeting Saturday a group of Republican officials and activists, including state lawmakers, voted to remove Dave Williams .
They elected Eli Bremer , a former U.S. Senate candidate and former El Paso County GOP chair, to serve until a new leadership election next year .
Williams says the meeting was illegal and the vote invalid.
Senate Minority Leader Paul Lundeen said he’s not taking sides in the leadership fight.
Lundeen : “Personality have become a more important part of the political conversation’ He said the fact the National Republican Campaign Committee recognized Bremer means money will flow into the state in a way that was not previously.
