Voyage Care owns more than 280 homes and provides care for some of Britain ’s most vulnerable adults.
It was taken over in January 2022 by the Kuwaiti Investment Authority , the 700bn sovereign fund run by the oil-rich Gulf state.
Since the takeover 75 of its care homes have been assessed by the Care Quality Commission .
Around one third saw a drop in their performance ratings and 23 homes saw drop in safety standards.
There have been allegations of abuse and unexplained bruising at some of Voyage 's homes.
Average weekly fees at Voyage Care Homes has risen by 22 per cent from 1,882 to 2,308 .
Since being taken over by the Kuwaiti fund, 26 homes have seen their ratings drop, 43 have seen ratings stay the same and only 6 have improved.
Of 200-plus Voyage homes not yet assessed by the CQC under Kuwaiti ownership, the majority have been rated good or outstanding with 10 requiring improvement.
