Günter “Garshon” Morgenstein, 88 , was a Holocaust survivor, master hair designer and master stylist.
He was born in Cottbus , Germany , in 1936 and was forced to flee his native country as Nazi control over Germany grew.
The outbreak of listeria has been linked to sliced deli meats distributed by the brand Boar 's Head.
Garshon Morgenstein was diagnosed with listeria and meningitis on July 8, 2014 .
Morgenstein died July 18, 2024 , 10 days after entering the hospital.
