Darryl Blackburn , a former data analyst with the now-defunct Harris County Elections Administration Office , faces six felony charges for wage theft and tampering with government documents.

Blackburn was tasked with allocating equipment and supplies, including paper ballots, to 782 polling locations throughout the county.

The investigation found that Blackburn was working a second full-time job at an oil and gas company for about 15 months , which prosecutors say led to Blackburn ’s “lazy blanket allocation” of ballot paper.

Blackburn allegedly fudged his timesheets with the county and claimed hours for both jobs simultaneously, bringing in more than $90,000 .
