Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Sid Daoud said top Republicans from the Montana GOP chairman to Donald Trump encouraged him to drop out of the contest.
Trump was in Montana on Friday to campaign in support of Tim Sheehy , the Republican nominee for Montana ’s Senate seat currently held by Democratic Sen. Jon Tester .
Most of those implicated acknowledged talking to Daoud but denied encouraging him to step aside.
