She said she 'reluctantly' approved a temporary reduction of services from 10 August to 9 November .

Ms Haigh said passengers had been "suffering from a substandard service for too long" CrossCountry has said the reduction is necessary to address a backlog of training required by drivers.

The operator acknowledged its poor service and apologised for the inconvenience of the new timetable.
