Bulgaria 's parliament adopted a law banning 'propaganda' for 'non-traditional sexual orientations' in schools.
The legislation was drafted by the pro-Russian Revival party, but also gained support from pro-Western factions.
135 out of 240 MPs voted in favour of the bill, but 57 voted against and eight from GERB abstained.
Some MPs cited the existence of brochures on sexual education for children and teenagers as problematic.
