5-year-old boy with autism was rescued from a Florida pond after he wandered away from his home.
He triggered an alarm after escaping through a second -story door, Volusia County Sheriff's Office says.
The boy is attracted to water, and deputies began checking bodies of water near the neighborhood when they did not find him in the immediate area.
A deputy found the boy in the water a few blocks away, and carried him back to dry land.
