I went to Jason Kenny’s sprint camp to see GB’s greatest Olympian building new era

Jack Carlin is one of Team GB’s brightest medal prospects on the track in Paris this week .
Carlin and co got off to a decent start on Monday as they qualified second fastest, managing to dip below 42 seconds , and beat Australia , which was encouraging.
The Dutch snatched Team GB gold at three successive Games in Beijing , London and Rio .
Kenny applied for the men’s sprint coach role the January after Tokyo .
He readily admits it has been a steep learning curve’ Kenny admits he has started to get to grips with it in the last year .
The Netherlands currently have a world record of 41.225sec , set at the championships in Berlin .
Team GB have finished all of their strength blocks’ and are starting to focus solely on the bike.
The amount of science behind what is essentially just three blokes riding three laps as fast as they can is fascinating.
Team GB are certainly not the favourites in the men’s team sprint in Paris .
But Kenny is adamant that anything can happen.
