A new study from the University of Georgia suggests people with a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol should take fish oil supplements.
The study used genetic data from more than 441,000 participants to predict the genetic likelihood of high levels of total cholesterol, high LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and HDL cholesterol.
The researchers found participants who reported taking fish oil had lower blood lipid levels than predicted.
