Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren threatens to stop a truck carrying uranium ore across the tribe's reservation.
He says the lack of notification showed “blatant disregard for our tribal sovereignty” The truck was transporting uranium ore from the Pinyon Plain Mine in Arizona to the White Mesa Mill in Blanding for processing.
The company says it has gone “above and beyond” requirements in its efforts to keep stakeholders informed.
