Brazilian manufacturer Embraer used Farnborough as an opportunity to damp down expectations of an imminent push into the narrow-body market.
Comac 's plane is already in production, albeit at a slow pace, but one obstacle to its progress is a lack of certification for the C919 to fly in Europe or the US .
