Rome Hill's parents noticed his eye started to flicker involuntarily in April .
They took him to the opticians where they were told he had "quite low vision" A consultant told the family he had a brain tumour sitting on a fluid pocket close to a gland at the base of his brain.
Rome had a six-hour -long operation on 20 June where part of the tumour was removed.
He will now undergo chemotherapy to shrink the remaining part of his tumour.
