Project 2025 is a multi-pronged initiative overseen by the conservative Heritage Foundation .

It includes a nearly 900-page policy book that lays out an overhaul of the federal government.

The authors of many chapters are familiar names from the Trump administration, such as Russ Vought and Chris Miller .

Some of the policies in the book have been discussed by Republicans for years or pushed by Trump himself.

Project 2025 's agenda calls for the Department of Homeland Security , Justice and Health and Human Services to form a Cabinet -level border and immigration agency.

The agenda takes aim at longstanding federal agencies, like the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration , or NOAA .

It also recommends the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau be downsized.

Project 2025 is a coalition of more than 110 conservative groups advocating policy & personnel recommendations for the next conservative president.

Project 2025 says it is ultimately up to that president, who we believe will be President Trump , to decide which recommendations to implement.
