The number of candidate-branded cups sold at the Monogram Shop in East Hampton is an accurate predictor of the election results this fall , in a Biden -versus-Trump November race, President Biden gets clobbered.
With many calling for Biden to leave the race following his performance in the first presidential debate, the great cup indicator has been completely thrown for a loop.
One attendee at Saturday ’s uncommonly alcohol-free fundraiser, who asked not to be named, said the 100 or so guests were told if they came past 1:30 p.m. they wouldn’t get in, but then they had to wait a couple of hours for Biden to arrive.
The Sag Harbor resident says for people who have previously met presidents and been to these things many times before, it was a lot to ask.
