DEET, chemical name, was developed in the 1950s by the U.S. Army and is well-established mosquito repellent.

This oil, with active ingredients cinnamaldehyde and eugenol, can protect from mosquitoes for over 60 minutes .

Geraniol and 2-PEP , or 2 -phenylethyl propionate, work for about 60 minutes at a 10% concentration in lotion.

We recommend using repellents with the active ingredient DEET if you live in areas with a high risk of vector-borne disease transmission.
