A hearing began Friday morning in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Houston with lawyers for Alex Jones disputing claims that he has been illegally diverting assets.
A liquidation would mean Jones ’ assets would be sold off, and he could lose ownership of Infowars , the company’s social media accounts and all copyrights.
Lawyers for the Sandy Hook families have been seeking liquidation.
Free Speech Systems, which employs 44 people, made nearly $3.2 million in April .
Jones listed his living expenses at about $69,000 for April alone.
Families have a pending lawsuit in Texas accusing Jones of illegally diverting and hiding millions of dollars .
Jones has denied the allegations.
