3 South Carolina deputies arrested after allegedly making hoax phone calls about dead bodies

Three South Carolina deputies are charged with misconduct in office, criminal conspiracy and aggravated breach of the peace.

The calls were made to a convenience store or to police in four small towns, state agents say.

"Prank calls happen, but you don't expect it from cops," a McBee resident says.

The three men are "former deputies," but the sheriff's office says they were suspended last week .
