Heartbreak and hope: Columbia's Abbey Hsu still learning to cope after Parkland, personal loss

At 17 , Abbey Hsu survived the Parkland , Florida , shooting and endured the questions that followed.

At 20 , her father died from COVID-19 while fighting to save his patients from the illness.

Hsu never set out to be a spokesperson or an activist, not because she feels called to it.
