GOP’s Star Witness in Hunter Biden Probe Has Ties to Russian Oligarch

Tony Bobulinski is the star witness in the House Oversight Committee's probe into Hunter Biden's business ties.

But he's connected to Russian billionaire Viktor Vekselberg , a close ally of Vladimir Putin's for decades .

Republicans want voters to believe Bobulinksi 's claims about the Bidens ' shady business dealings.

Democrats think that would be foolish, but they're trying to look past his connections.

House Republicans released business records and text messages released by the House GOP show that Hunter Biden and Tony Bobulinski were in cahoots with a Russian oligarch long before "Burisma" became national shorthand for vague Biden family shadiness.

House GOP investigators published a December 2020 FBI interview with one of Hunter Biden's former business partners.

That associate, Rob Walker , told agents in the interview that “ Tony ’s background” was “pushing deals in the past in New York ” with “ Russians ” and “ Russian money”.

Bobulinski told the FBI that he butted heads with Hunter Biden over Sinohawk 's handling of the Rosneft deal.

Hunter Biden mocked Bobulinksi 's claim that he was “just finding out” about the deal, which had been announced six weeks earlier .

A separate private WhatsApp message shows that he had known about the CEFC proposal the day it was announced.
