Couple lost home after deputies took thousands during raid, lawsuit says. They won $1M

Gregory and Teresa Almond were charged with possession of marijuana and felony possession of a controlled substance.

Deputies seized $ 8,000 in cash, $ 4,050 in jewelry, guns, guitars and other items from their home, lawsuit says.

The couple lost their home and moved into a shed after losing their mortgage.

The judge dismissed some of the Almonds ' claims and defendants, but allowed judgment to proceed against two Randolph County deputies.
