Broward judge overturns jury’s guilty verdict against Aventura cop who held two men at gunpoint

Aventura police officer accused of illegally detaining two men he accused of stealing his wife's cellphone.

David Delgado , 30 , was found guilty in December of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and battery.

A Broward Circuit Judge Gary Farmer overturned the verdict, declaring Delgado not guilty and dismissing the case.
