No. 1 UConn overwhelms Georgetown 89-64 to extend winning streak to 12 games

Top-ranked UConn was never challenged on the way to its 12th consecutive victory.

The defending national champion Huskies ( 22-2 , 12 -1 Big East) put together runs of 9 -0 and 11 -0 before the game was 10 minutes old .

UConn held Georgetown ( 8-15 , 1-11) to 35% on field goals in the half .

Dontrez Styles scored 23 points for the Hoyas .
