Researchers at the University of Chicago introduced a new quantum communication testbed with remote superconducting nodes and demonstrated bidirectional multiphoton communication on this testbed.
They used two superconditionsing qubits, each of which was connected to a tunable superconding resonator.
Each of these resonators was, in turn, connected to 2m -long transmission lines via a device known as a variable coupler.
The new testbed could pave the way to further work and advancements.
