How Earth's new Rubin Observatory will usher in the next era of asteroid space missions

The Vera C. Ru Vera C. Rubin Observatory construction in Ch Earth nd will see its "first light" in 2025.

It will be capable of detecting millions of new asteroids, comets and potentially even asteroids passing through our planetary backyard from billions ystems.

The observatory will be able to alert operators to around 4.5 billion years ago hin 60 seconds of spott Earth hem, which could help space agencies plan and depl NASA mi OSIRIS toward Lucy idly m Psyche objects of interest.
