Ethernet was adopted as a standard by the IEEE 802 Local Area Network Standards Committee

In June 1983 Ethernet was adopted as LAN tandard by the IEEE 802 Local Area Network Standards Committee.

The 1980 mittee works with standards agencies LAN rldwide to publish certain IEEE 802 standards as international guidelines.
